Roger made it to the final of Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star" vocal competition. The Italian tenor has also received a personal letter from Ed McMahon stating his interest in having Roger sing on his new weekly TV series.
Dr. Roger J. Geronimo, tenor, has been a college dean, professor, entrepreneur, and corporate financial executive. Unfortunately, Roger had to recently retire and move to Florida due to the progression of Parkinson's disease which took his dad's life in 1989.
Roger began singing, strictly for fun, at the age of 40! In 1992 he met world-renowned dramatic tenor, John Shackelford, whose unique vocal technique helped propel Roger onto the professional stage. Mr. Shackelford studied and passed along to Roger the great vocal techniques of two great tenors ... James King, and arguably the greatest tenor of all time, Franco Corelli!
A brief list of his professional performances include Peter Pan at Candlewood Playhouse, the Shubert Opera Company and Tampa Opera under the baton of Anton Coppola, Stage II Opera Company, and countless solo concerts and charity events. Roger has also acted in professional commercials for Time-Warner and AT&T, and also in full-length motion pictures.
